All children in the Salmon River Central School District community are eligible for free lunch this summer. The free meals are available for kids and teens up to 18 years old to enjoy from July 8 to Aug. 16. The hours are 11 a.m.-12 p.m. Monday through Friday.

We understand that many families like to pick up the lunches and drop them off to their children during lunch breaks. After seeking special permission for non-congregate lunches at each of our sites, we are happy to report that our request has been approved by the Child Nutrition Knowledge Center at the New York State Education Department.

Therefore, as of July 18, the lunches provided at all of the following sites are available for pickup:

• Akwesasne Library
• Rainbow Park
• Bombay Park
• Westville Fire Department

In order to pick up lunches, families must sign their child’s name and the name of the parent/guardian at any of the sites.
