On Saturday, June 15, 2024, Salmon River will proudly host its first-ever ShamRockin’ at the River: Shamrock Community Day!

The event will take place on the main campus of Salmon River Central School, 637 County Road 1, Fort Covington, N.Y. 12937.

Prepare for a full day of excitement starting at 11 a.m., with activities designed for the whole family to enjoy. From the Shamrock Shuffle 5K walk/run/shuffle to a variety of engaging activities for kids, there’s something for everyone! Cap off the day with a movie screening beneath the twinkling stars. Don’t forget to rock your shamrock green! And, of course, delicious food options will be plentiful throughout the day.

• Art Class
  • Explore your inner artist and take part in Greg Emery’s art activities.
• Craft Show
  • 11 a.m.-4 p.m. – Explore a variety of crafts and general wares.
• Dunk Tank
  • Test your aim by trying to dunk some local volunteers into a tank of water. Fun and laughter guaranteed!
• Face Painting
  • Enjoy creative and colorful face painting, transforming into your favorite character.
• Old School House Tours
  • 1-3:30 p.m. – Explore history with the Fort Covington Historical Society for tours of the Old School House property across from the Salmon River main campus.
• Reiki and Sound Bath
  • Enjoy healing and deep relaxation with a soothing Reiki and Sound Bath session in between activities.
• Salmon River Building Tours
  • 2-5 p.m. – Explore the Salmon River Central School campus for hourly tours, meeting at the Arena Lobby.
